GA-FC pedal excitement

I have a Boss Kitana 100 II, and have this week bought the foot pedal to accompany it the GA-FC.

The styles of music I like to play very regularly have a tonal shot for a solo mid way through them, and it’s alway been a bug bear of mine that I had limited ability to do that.

Because of the Katana preset option and the functionality of this pedal I’m not far off having the functionality of a complete pedal board. Pretty happy with the purchase for around $150 (price of 1 good effects pedal).

Plenty to learn again in the hardware front, and I’m going to have to get better at understanding tones. Any good resources please let me know, I’ll be giving the JG vids a few watches over.

After giving it a few blasts, it’s gunna take some practice getting timing right on the pedal activation. All in all excited to get playing on this one. Greenday - Boulevard of Broken Dreams recording coming soon, with pedal work to tone shift.

I got the pedal switch for my amp for the same reason. I’m not really using it yet, but I’m getting to the point where I can. I’m just not really working on the right songs yet.

of course, my amp is a lot simpler than the Katana amps, so I have a bit less flexibility with what my options are. but it at least gets me a starting point with using a pedal and doing tone shifts during a song.

Seems to me like any rock with a solo could use it. Records typically introduce a new guitar layer with a different tone for the solo so playing by yourself the pedal makes it sound more on point.

Sometimes it’s verse to chorus where ya stop on some gain. Plenty to tinker with, right now it’s giving me reasons to play with time settings and understand my amp better and then working on the timing of the step.
