@apfel Justin has a great lesson on this song, it doesn’t cover the bit you’re asking about though. What it is is a slide. Check out Dave Price on YouTube, his lesson on the solo in Faith. The demo he plays at the beginning has that slide in it. (I make no recommendation on him, that’s the only tutorial I’ve ever watched by him, when I was looking for the solo in that song one day.)
