If I could only have one guitar book, then it would be " The Guitar Handbook" by Ralph Denyer. I still have the copy I bought in the 80s - it’s almost falling apart. It covers pretty much everything guitar, including key players, gear and theory. These days it’s hard to compete with Internet resources, but this book was my bible for a very long time in my teens.

I have that book!!! 
Bought it years ago… read it cover to cover & back again… shelved it & forgot all about it! We boxed up a bunch of the books on our bookcases a while back but I remember where it is… going to go dig it out tonight!!! Thanks for reminding me, Paul!

Good to see that is still around, must have got my copy around '97 and still have it with my “first stab” paraphernalia that I kept from the early days. before multiple stop starts !
I bought my copy here in UK in the mid-90s.
As did I when I was still there !
