I would like to ask you for inspection of my final exam video for Grade 2.
I prepared improvisation in the beginning and then 5 songs recommended by Justin from the grade.
I completed Grade 1 some time ago, but then I went to fingerstyle path… after some time I found out I am missing some essentials with pick and many of them was due to I did not have “right” pick and it was moving a lot.
My 2026 resolution was to come back to Grade 2 and finish it, so I went through every topic some days or weeks in materials and here I am. Asking you kindly if I passed the test of Grade 2.
Also I wanted to mention that everything needs time - after 3 months of sticking to play with pick only I dont suffer from moving pick as I used to in the beginning, like it is 95% less and sometimes I can fix it during playing! So dont give up!
Thank you very much for your time, ANY feedback welcomed, of course there was lot of pressure/shyness as always

My opinion is not important. It’s what you think of your results that matters. What I can say is it is clear that you have done a lot of practice. You’ve put together an impressive body of work to be proud of.
As others have said, there’s no passing or failing per se - just learning and improving. You’ll continue to improve and become more proficient in what you have learned as you add to it.
That said, I’d say you are doing great. I never noticed anything to specifically call out as requiring extra attention.
@chris_m Thank you very much. I was really deep dived into pick even it was sometimes really frustrating, that my fingers could not hold 1 gram of plastic properly.
@CD02 Thank you, back in the recording I see some mistakes, but I know they are not my core problem, because I still play little bit more bad in front of camera than when I am off screen, but I dont wanna excuse my mistakes like that. I am pretty sure everything will get even smoother and more musical as I continue learning.
I really love looper and I cant wait to expand my skill with it even more!
I love my Pioneer, just little cocobolo, thanks.
@DavidP Thank you David. I feel like I was ready for closing Grade 2 because I put some work into that and I can really see the difference between 12/2025 and 04/2026 and in the guitar world… it is not that much time at all!
Thank you for your time, guys and also future strangers giving a minute to me. I take it as I passed the test and I can move on.
It wont be Grade 3 directly, because I would like to focus on fingerstyle now… so I will see how the course goes and optionaly mix fingerstyle main with Grade 3 as side.
Great job Michal. Nice pick of songs and a well rounded display of techniques.
You will love grade 3 and you even showed some grade 3 stuff in some of your techniques. You will be able to really solidify that and there will also be a bunch of amazing stuff you will be able to add to you arsenal. that stuff will really expand on what you have already learned. Your music will sound even better with those skills learned next.
I am sure you will have a blast with the upcoming lessons. Congratulations too. I am glad you made the leap.
@Ontime Thank you very much Jason. I wanted to do some cut through songs with techniques, I am happy it worked well.
I cant wait for learning more! Feeling more freedom step by step feels just great.
@Guitarman63 Thank you John. Wishing you joy and motivation on your consolidation!
It looks like you’re doing really well, I’d pass you!
One thing that I would say is that your wrist angle when playing, especially barre chords, could result in a wrist injury.
I had to give up on the barre chords at the end of grade 2 and find another path (I switched to Classical guitar) as I did get injured and it’s still not right over two years later.
Get a strap and hold the guitar so the neck is pointing higher up more towards your shoulder. Experiment with your elbow position and arm position to make the bend in your wrist less acute.
You are right… when I play especially power chords 10-15 minutes my wrist feels little uncomfortable. I am gonna inspect that neck placement.
I am mainly fingerstyle player and I solve chords like this with thumb over neck to fret base, so I got free finger for adding embellishments. Hope you are right now after your injury.
You are doing very well IMHO, probably time to move on if you feel ready and just polish up aspects from Grades 1 & 2 that you are not happy with in your practice routine.
I wouldn’t know what the grade 2 standard looks and sounds like Michal, but I do know your very committed to learning and have put together a nice portfolio. Good work!
Nice work! You’ve done well!
Never mind about passing something or other, the real deal is: are you having fun?
Did you learn a thing or two along the way? Still enjoying yourself? Yes? Great!!! Move on!
Dude you are doing great!! I couldn’t watch it all the way through but checked each section and I would say you’re playing well above Grade 2 - solid time, barre chords, 16th note strumming and solid improv! Well done - you have obviously been working hard and it’s paying off. Good audio and video quality too! Awesome!
@domi7 Thank you very much, Dom.
Already started doing fingerstyle again and I can feel doing Grade 2 pick made me better fingerstyle player… it is magic…
Yes, you got your time. I can remember you are BLIMer and I am pretty sure you will jump into Rock Immersion too, so you dont have much space for so many things.
Very cool diversity of pieces in your performance! Awesome playing the chords and then doing the improv over the loop! The strumming, chord transitions, embellishments, and sound of the guitar all were really good to my ear throughout. I could sing along in my head to all the ones I knew! You look very comfortable and smooth.
I’m working through Grade 2 right now. Kind of paused on the blues module as I keep getting sidetracked.
I think it’s nice to have a final piece that demonstrates that you have picked up a lot of the techniques in the Grade and so I think this video is a really nice representation of that for you. I definitely think you are ready to move on if you want to.
