Grade 2 Test Answers

18 / 20. I’m. I’m quite sure how I thought a 3rd was a fifth.

After a bit of a disappointing grade 1 test, 3 or 4 mistakes iirc, actually surprised myself with the full 20 here.

Full 20. Quite surprised that I can actually do this stuff

20/20 this time. I sometimes check my answer by “singing” up the scale - not sure if that’s cheating ?

Well, if it’s cheating, you have my company in that nefarious activity. I “can’t sing”, yet I can do as you describe. Maybe there’s hope yet for singing!

Dear friends, tell me whether it is cheating or not!

I used my guitar and played the notes that Justin was playing, and guessed the answers by playing them. Should I try to sing/hum the tone to find the intervals? Is that the right way of doing this test?

18 out of 20 considering half were just lucky guesses lol

100%! It was interesting how I had to listen closely a 2nd or 3rd time to some of the lower and higher frequencies to make sure I had the intervals correct. Even though I did well on this test, I still plan to use the singing and playing suggestions in the last video before the test to also help improve my singing voice. Great job putting these lessons together. Really enjoyed them and found them useful. Greatest part is being able to go back and review if I wasn’t sure I had something right.

Got 100 percent on this one! Though I did go through it twice, and changed a few of my original answers. The only really strong song reference I have it Star Wars with the 5th. I found singing the scale during the test useful.

Weird: I can do the intervals pretty well - maybe got one wrong the first time, but I can’t pick out the notes on my own guitar. If i hear a 5th and play a 5th it sounds " the same" but i can’t tell whether mine is higher or lower. I can tell it’s wrong, but not which way!

75% exactly. Was a good lesson
