Great free resource for transcribing

Just thought I’d share something I’ve been using to practice transcribing - a website called Timestretch Audio Player. It’s free, it’s a browser based web-app so nothing to download, and you can upload an MP3 and loop sections, slow them down and even pitch shift if you want (haven’t used this feature personally).

Wow! Excellent! :+1:
An important thing is that unlike many on-line players it doesn’t affect the quality of the recording replayed. Thanks a lot!

Hi Sajid. Is it possible to import streamed songs from Apple Music into this?

Hi - it only works with MP3 files. I don’t personally use Apple Music but I think there are some ways to do it - a Google search on how to convert Apple Music to MP3 would give you some ideas on how to do it.

Most songs I would work with can be found on YouTube and multiple options exist to capture an MP3 file from a YouTube video so that might be another option.

I own a transcribe licence which is great if you have the mp3, but I do some transcribing every day and don’t always have the sound file.

These days I use looper.tube or https://looptube.io/ as most things are on Youtube these days. I also use the ‘Transpose’ Chome extension that allows looping and pitch shifting on youtube.

Thanks for the hint, @mathsjunky. Seems to be a helpful tool.
