Hi everyone! I have had a guitar since 2003, but never learned because understanding the books back then was too hard. I recently found Justin online and I’m enjoying my current journey, starting from the beginning.
Hi Scott,
Welcome here and I wish you a lot of fun
From now on you have no more excuses for not getting good at guitar
Greetings,Rogier
Welcome to the forum Scott
Hi Scott & Welcome!!!
If you follow Justin’s curriculum… pick up your guitar daily - even if it’s just for 10 minutes - you’ll see pretty amazing progress. That being said, you won’t be Jimi Hendrix by Christmas!!! One thing in addition, if you can put the guitar on a stand or hanging on a wall, you will be more likely to pick it up and play for a few minutes! (Like when the coffee/tea is brewing, etc.) The absolute most important thing is to keep it fun!!!
Enjoy the journey & good luck!!!
Tod

Hey Scott, welcome to the community. Learning guitar is a great experience with plenty of frustrations but even better are the amazing rewards and people you meet when you stick with it.
Thanks Tony! I’m enjoying myself already!
Welcome to the forum!
Scott, welcome to the community. Glad you found a place that helps you to learn to play the guitar and not feeling frustrated like you were with guitar tutorial books. Have fun learning songs and enjoying learning. Who knows. With enough instruction from Justin, even the guitar books will start to make sense.
I’m so excited! I’ve made more progress in the last 2 weeks than the last twenty years!
Hello Scott and welcome aboard.
Justin does have a knack of making things easily understandable. Have fun.
Hello Scott. At last, you have picked up your guitar … 20 years in the making!
Welcome to JustinGuitar and the Community. I’m arriving late to the hello and welcome party.
There are many good folk here who will happily offer help and encouragement to those coming up behind them on Justin’s Beginner Courses. They embody and carry the pay-it-forward ethos we have nurtured for many years in our community. There are many old hands too who have years and (hopefully) a bit of wisdom they can bring as they give their support to those hitting the road blocks - which we all do.
Just ask if you need anything.
Cheers
