Hope you enjoy!
This is my first attempt at trying to record something.
feedback is welcome!
Hi Kayd ,
Congratulations on your first video , that is a big and important step to way more fun
… as far as feedback is concerned, i`m not of much use to you, it looked good and played nice and fast with variations, but I could not listen to it properly, my brain does not deal well with the noise/interference that was over it, but that doesn’t matter at all for now for me, that is a sound issue and is probably easy to solve…
Enjoy it and keep it up,
Greetings,Rogier
Thank you @roger_holland
I am trying to find better software to record on but I am having difficulty on the technical side of things. Hopefully I can get this sorted later on.
Kayd
Your performance looks good: consistently in time strumming and some subtle dynamic variations on the picked-out phrases. Looking forward to hearing more! (Hopefully better recordings.)
Brian
Hey Kayd, congratulations on sharing your first video!
Well played! and that’s the important thing.
Recording/sound is all secondary stuff that will fall into place.
Contrary to Rogier, the background distorted buzzing does not bother me that much… In fact I wouldn’t be surprised if I might prefer its presence (I find I sometimes my attention drifts when someone plays chords only through a full song without backing or singing)
How are you recording this?
It’s been ages since I listened to any Misfits. Way back when it came out, a good friend recorded We Are 138 for me, but didn’t realise it was 45rpm instead of 33 1/3
I still think the dropped register and slowed speed is much better than the original
Hello Kayd, that’s well played. Well done.
Thank you for the comment!
I figured out that the buzz was because of the effect I was using and I have now fixed the problem! In answer to your question I am currently using Riverside to record this But I will be using Audacity soon so I can add backing tracks to my music.
I sadly cannot comment on your opinion on the rpm on We are 138 as this is the only Misfits song I know.
thank you @beejay56 for the comment, out of interest, do you know any good free recording software?
Well done! Try using Audacity recording software. It’s free and about as powerful as any non-professional recording software can get.
A sweet offset, ride the lighting shirt and the perfect song. What can go wrong Bro? Well done.
Great job
