ahhh. gift pranks. I donāt do much of the holiday gift-buying thing anymore, but Iāve been known to do gift wrapping pranks. I like the bicycle-guitar a lot!
On many occasions, Iāve done the āmany layers of wrapping paperā thing. Sometimes with one of those layers being a layer of duct tape. Iāve used deceiving boxes in the past. When I was in college, I got my hands on a refrigerator box. I was giving my parents a gift card (yawn, boring, right?) so I taped the gift card to the bottom of the box. Then I used a LOT of crumpled and shredded paper, packing peanuts, rocks, all kinds of things to fill the box. My father had to tip the box on its side, pull out ALL the stuff I filled it with, and climb inside to get to the gift card. That was probably the best deceiving box/wrapping I ever did. And it was a LOT of work.
@domi7 So here we are⦠first impression was it is rotoped (stable fitness bike) for her mom.
Then we told her it is for her⦠she was confused why would she get new bike, when she does not ride at all.
When she was openning the gift we were still in the act, we started from front side and when she openned it we said it is going for reclamation. You order a bike and they miss one wheel.
After few small jokes she found out it is guitar and that moment was followed with joy and smile from one ear to ear. She is really happy.
I also gifted to her Czech guitar course and in the right time⦠I will introduce Justin, but for now I need to do everything so the instrument look interesting to her.
Thank you for the update! It was nice to read!
Now that all the guests went home and my wife and her parents are in the church - I could do some tidying and dishwashing - and now I can still have a few minutes with the guitar
Oh, you had a whole plan for her! Thatās very nice of you, Michal!
I hope that it will work out!
