Guitar Pro Files for Solo Blues Course

I’m not sure if this is the right place or if this post will be seen. It looks like an inactive group.

But, I am having a problem with only the Guitar Pro files for this course.
I can only adjust the speed % for the files - not adjust the BPM.

My other Justin and other creators’ GP files I have play fine. I can adjust speed and/or BPM on the fly.

I have already contacted GP about this, but I am wondering if anyone else has had this problem or can duplicate it.

I always used % to slow down or speed up tempo. If 100% is at 80bpm, each 10% is 8bpm, so you should be able to hit the tempo you desire.

I don’t have access to that specific file, but it’s almost certainly the result of how the Solo Blues files were likely authored. I would contact admin to confirm; likely to protect) preserve the timeline etc

I’ve just tried to change the “Custom” BPM on the Solo Blues Course and it is all Greyed Out. So it must be an author defined feature and not a GP8 issue.

It’s an author defined part of the .gp files.

Makes sense considering what they are. They’re lessons, designed to teach you something specific. Hence the bpm is set. This is the target. You can adjust the percentage of that bpm so you can work up to it. But the target is the target.

Justinguitar Guitar Pro files are all locked so you cannot edit.
You can only use % to alter the playback speed.

Thank you for the replies. In the grand scheme of things, adjusting the speed% is fine.
It just struck me as weird because all my other JG GP files allow me to change the % or BPM on the fly. He must’ve changed something when creating these files.
I had never seen that error message (JG or other creators’ files) before using GP, so I thought maybe there was some file/GP/laptop glitch.
Again, no big deal. I’ll just play everything at 200% speed haha :grinning_face:

This is expected behavior.
As indicated by the message, the Audio Track feature cannot be used together with a fixed BPM. When the audio track is enabled, the fixed BPM options are therefore not available. In this case, only the speed percentage can be adjusted.
