Guitar Pro on iPad - Change Tempo?

There have been vague discussions in other topics indicating that Guitar Pro is quite limited on iPad, but I haven’t seen any discussion of the particular limitations. I have a couple of specific questions: Can I adjust the tempo of an existing .gp file using the iPad version? If yes, can I change it both by percentage and by defining a custom tempo? Finally, does the iPad version work better on files stored locally, or is it functional using files stored in the cloud? For me, this limited functionality would be worth the $6.99 US! TIA.

EDIT TO ADD: I went ahead and downloaded the app. It does what I hoped, but it’s very bare bones. You change tempo using a slider, it moves in 10% increments from 20% to 200%. I was easily able to load files from the cloud (I figured this wouldn’t be a problem, but you never know). I can’t vouch for other functionality at this point…will try to remember to update this again after I’ve spent some time with the app.

Yep, similar on Android. Good for jotting down something quickly when away from the PC. That’s about it.

Which, tbh, is not unreasonable for the price…

Yes it great. I use it a fair bit on my phone etc in an ad hoc way, with all the main stuff done on the PC.

Cheers, Shane

As I no longer have a Computer now my iPad does everything. One of the best things I’ve found is to use a USB stick that’s designed to work with the iPad to offload files like documents and photos, videos etc to keep as much free space as possible, this helps to keep your processing speed at its best. I also use GarageBand for its simplicity and low overheads instead of a more complex DAW. I don’t use Guitar pro but I would guess that it possibly does similar things to what you can do in GarageBand, for example if you can get a midi file of what you want to play around with it will import it and then basically you can do what you like with it.
