I live in Iowa and it gets very humid here. My wife and I love to keep the windows open as much as possible. Now that I’m learning guitar I’m wondering how concerned I should be about the humidity.

If the humidity will be problem for you I recommend to you read more about Furch CNR Active which is mechanism that compromise big humidity changes and you can also set fret 12 action here. 
Even if you are not thinking about buying anything… its good to know about something like this exists.
