@BarrhamianSteve, if you mean the creature at the vin chaud stand that seems to have had a bit too much of the ‘vin’ already, I’m pretty sure that’s a cat (no raccoons in France where Deborah lives, unless as an invasive species )

i like the fact people can read an illustration way differently than what the cartoonist had in mind
so yes its a cat , and he may be a little tipsy already , but he hurt his tongue on a way too hot cup of mulled wine
and dont ask me what the dog is doing near the tree
