Hello (again) from Australia

Hi Everybody,

Just thought I’d say hello again (from SEQLD Australia) and re-introduce myself
I was on the community forum before with a different account but deleted my JG account not so long back when I was having a kinda bad day. Very sorry I did that! Only took a few seconds but lost all my purchases and also could not log back into the forum. ( I don’t recommend it, just FYI…)
But I missed all you guys, you all rock! and this really is a great community  :white_heart:
Anyway… feeling better, new account, starting again, and all good

I started trying to teach myself guitar before I randomly stumbled across Justin on YouTube. I am so glad that I did! I’m progressing much faster now with JG lessons, Justin is an amazing teacher and the website offers so much. I really appreciate all the work that Justin, the whole team, and everybody put into all of this (including the community)

I’m up to grade 3, I love most styles of music, depending on my mood I guess. but I tend to spend a lot more time playing acoustic and love fingerstyle. I also love playing uke

So, anyway, look forward to interacting with you all again, love watching your music posts! and also pick up tips and learn stuff reading the threads

Jasmine (aka Jas, Jazz, Jax  ) :sunflower:

I also deleted my account because I wanted to start with a new user name and email address, then realised I had lost a paid lesson. Quick email to the support staff explaining and they were happy to resubscribe me under the new name.

Hi from WA Jas, good to see you’re back. Over many years my guitar journey has been on and off but since finding JG resources my interest level is peaking and playing improving (even if I do say so myself ).

I have the odd day when the fingers don’t seem to cooperate so, I move on study some Music Theory and come back to the guitar the next day :+1:

Thanks Paul  @mathsjunky I wouldn’t have thought the uke would be so fun until I tried it. I totally recommend it if you’re looking for something a bit different and fun one day

Thank you so much Rogier! @roger_holland That really means a lot!! :sunflower:

Thanks Craig @CD02

It’s amazing what a difference this can make isn’t it! I find the same thing

Welcome back Jasmine, at least you did not go away for long !
Does that mean you will be making the best use of both seats in the JGC OM theatre

Hello again Jasmine!!
Great decision to stick with us. I’m very glad about it. You (and so many others) were so welcoming when I joined the community, and now I’m very happy to be able to welcome you in return
On a technical note. As it seems, your previous community account still exists. Since you plan to contact the support staff anyways, I would ask them if they can merge your previous account with the new one. Your previous postings are still available, so it might be possible.
See you around  :sunflower::sunflower::sunflower: … (:point_left:your symbol, the sunflower, I hope we will see many more from you going forward  )

Hey Jasmine, welcome to the community. Lot’s of great community events in SE Queensland. There are the weekly BUG sessions as the New Farm Bowls club. Red Hill has a very active folk club as does Redlands and there’s the Gold Coast Acoustics club a bit further south, I’ve been involved with Coast Acoustics for over 10 years now.

There are also twice yearly camping gatherings at Maidenwell, Mulgowie, Woodford (Showgrounds) and Spring Gully (Coast Acoustics).

My experience with all of those gatherings is that beginners are welcome and encouraged.

Look forward to hearing more from you.

And thank you for this too! You are amazing!

if you are on fb, there’s a group Redirecting...

Folk’n Friends Camping Music Gatherings, this is where the announcement about most of those gatherings is done
