I would like to introduce myself… again. I’m de_conne from Belgium and 42 years old.
I’m a long time JustinGuitar user and used to post regularly, starting in 2014, on the previous Justinguitar Community forum.
I started playing classical guitar when I was a 12 years old for a couple of years, reading notes, playing on my left leg; (still do that tho …). But got bored of it and really didn’t touch much guitar until 2014. Then I started learning chords, and all the fun stuff from Justin.
In 2016 I went buying a Fender Blues Junior from a guy and was asked to join a band. We played in that band till 2023. By that time things got really hectic… lot’s of gigs and to little time to do anything else, so we broke up. 2024 wasn’t a great guitar year…
In 2025 I’ve taken it up again and now trying to master the Major Scale since my impro/solo can use some improvement.
I’m pretty lucky to own a 2018 Gibson Les Paul Standard HPII in Mohave fade, which I bought brand new and paid way to much for it. On the other hand, it was money I saved from stopping smoking. I use a pedalboard (Tubescreamer, Crybaby, DS1, tuner, looper, reverb, delay, …) into my Boss Katana 100W. I also own a black 1998 Dearmond M75t and a Seagull Accoustic.
Hi Ignace ,
Welcome here and I wish you a lot of fun
I’m sure not much has changed here, right?
Or it may be that there are a few topics that if you start and find it difficult to stop, it will take you a month +, and slightly more posts per day
HI de_conne, welcome back to the community forum. I was learning from Justin Guitar in 2016 but never used the forum. It sounds like you have gained a lot of experience playing in a band. Have fun adding to your guitar knowledge and skills. I would enjoy hearing some of your blues playing in the future in the community recordings.
Hope you have lots of pleasure with Justin this time… it’s a pleasure to hear from the ‘vets’ of the old forum! Also, if we don’t see your LP, it doesn’t officially exist!!!
Btw, I have never used that case… It’s awesome… has leather straps, wheels and alu casing… But is so big and heavy … Also so nice that I was affraid of damaging the case
I quickly bought a gator case for it… It still is my go to guitar, and has the ability to change the pickups to single coil by pulling out the guitar knobs…
