Hi my name is Pedro, im 42 year’s old and im from Portugal, im a truck driver.
When I was very young(15yo) my mother gave me an accoustic guitar and i start learning on my own watching Nirvana(MTV Unplugged in New York) playing some parts of the songs
One day my old sister told me to stop playing because she was with an headache, and I didn’t stop, and she came to me, grabbed the guitar and smashed in the corner of my bed, i just puted some tape in the broken parts and continue playing .
Today im 42yo and i have 2 kids(14yo and 7yo) last week I’ve took the old one on is birthday and went to a musicstore and bought 2x guitars(Fender FA 125CE Sunburst, not expansive and i think they are very good for the first steps), one for him and one for me ,the kid is in love with the guitar, and me? Well i feel like I’ve never touched in a guitar before!! Now i have to practice a lote, im following Justin lessons and im going to buy the app because its worth it and he deserves for all the work he does.
Hello Pedro, and welcome to the community . Thanks for sharing your interesting story. I hope, your older sister is not around when you’re practicing now. Smashing a guitar in the corner is no nice way to contribute to your musical career…
I wish you both lots of fun with your new guitars and hope more from you and your progress .
Hello Pedro and welcome to JustinGuitar and the community.
Following the lessons step by step is the way to learn properly and gain skills in the best way possible.
Thanks for supporting Justin and buying the App - a great way to learn songs, learn songs, learn songs.

Hey Pedro, nice to meet you and hear your story. Wow, that’s a bit of drama with the guitar smashing. Glad to hear you’ve come back to the guitar. Look forward to hearing more from you.
Welcome! So glad to see you introducing your children to the guitar. I got one of my granddaughters a guitar for her birthday and it’s so gratifying to see her creating her own music. Maybe there will be some duets in your future?

Hello Pedro and welcome, I read your story with a smile…not at all kind of your sister to smash your guitar…but eh…she had an headache after all! So nice you can share your journey with your son! Go for the App…it’s an amazing tool for beginners to develop their basic skills!
Hi Pedro, welcome. My fist guitar fell to the ground when the nail it was hanging of gave up and played for a while with a split top. Good you can share playing music with your son.
Looks like you’ve set yourself a challenge getting your kid to start along side you. That will keep you on your toes. Look forward to hearing how you both progress.
