Yes, sometimes he have good ideas.
Guten tag Gunhild! (Iāve taken some German classes in school a while back, but I canāt really remember much of it nowš )
Danke Schƶn Gunhild. So far the community have been very warming and supportive so far. Yeah I owed a lot to that friend.
Ja, the courses are very well organised, intuitive and Justin is just some of the greatest and nicest guitar teacher out there.
Herzlichen GlĆ¼ckwunsch on completing grade 1! I hope to join you soon and Iām glad that are enjoying the guitar journey as well.
Ja, I sure hope that by going slow and steady, itāll pay off in the future.
Thanks again for all the kind words and encouragement. I really do appreciate it.
Auf Wiedersehen!
Hello Dean
Thank you for your very kind reply.
It has been a pleasure and a surprise to read some German here, and had put an instant smile on my face Very kind of you!
Iām struggling with my rusty and funny English here in each post
Yes, you are right about the lessons, the community and Justinās great way of teaching. Iām very happy that Iāve found this website - and it is great that you are here now, too
Oh, Iām sure youāll join me very soon, because Iām going slow and steady, too. Iām still consolidating Grade 1 before starting the next one. Better have some solid basics and not rush through the lessons.
So letās take it step by step, and weāll get there ā¦
Have lots of fun
Herzliche GrĆ¼Će
But itās so hard. I donāt want to spend several months learning a song, I want to play it now.
Welcome to the forum Dean.
There is no slow or fast, go at your own pace. As I keep reminding folks, this lark is a marathon not a sprint. Just enjoy the ride.
Hello Dean and welcome to our community.
That is the best way to learn guitar. No point in rushing through it and not getting it right.
Hi Dean, Welcome to the community and good luck with your guitar journey.
Have Fun.
A
Hi Dean
Nice to meet you!
I know itās been said before, but itās much better to go slow an get it right than rushing
Thatās fantastic! Love it!
Hi Dean, Welcome to the community. I know that Justin has suggested somewhere that you should spend at least 2 weeks on each module and that is if you do a full practice schedule 5 to 6 days a week. Then you need to have some time to consolidate or practice what you have learned, so I donāt think that 4 to 6 months is too long on Grade 1 and some people might take a year. As others have said, just be patient and take your time to learn the basics. My advice is that if you have any extra time in a day to play guitar (more than the 20 minute practice routine) - donāt do extra practice exercises, but instead play songs to have fun.
Hey Steve.
Alright Iāll definitely keep that in mind.
Thanks for the advice Steve! I really appreciate it.
