Hello Alberto i do know you are going to enjoy your journey cheers Hec

Welcome dude…I bought a guitar during Covid, when I was in my early 60’s. It’s been a fun journey, frustrating at times, rewarding at times. There is so much to learn, so the journey will never end. Enjoy it!

Welcome, Alberto, always good to learn something new and even better when you enjoy it! Keep having fun.

Welcome! I think you’ll find that there are a lot of older players here. I think it’s a great new hobby at any age. There are studies that indicate that playing a musical instrument is like a total body workout for the brain.

Hi Alberto,

Welcome to the community forum. :grinning:

Thanks to you all for the warm welcome. It is great that people from all over the world can share a common interest. This looks like the place to be.
When I started (some 3 months ago) I had not anticipated that it would take such a big place in my life. Shame on me for not discovering it earlier but, as they say, better late than never.

Hi Alberto!

I’m 72 and remember playing with dinosaurs as well. We are a bit different though in that I started playing in junior high school and went through college and then quit. I got started again about 10 or 15 years ago when I found Justin’s lessons and it has been a real game changer. 2 things I learned from Justin right away that made a big difference are to practice what you can’t play well, and if you aren’t getting something in practice slow it down, even to ridiculously slow speeds. I am playing things now that I could never play as a kid. Best wishes for your new journey!

Ciao Alberto da Milano  Benvenuto!

Hello Alberto.
Welcome to JustinGuitar and this fantastic community. Please take your time to look around and get to know the wider space.

We are a supportive and encouraging group of students and guitarists from across the world. Essentially, we are all here for music and to improve as players. We truly are a ‘community’. Members help and support one another and a friendly, positive attitude underpins this. We hope that all - young or old, experienced or new players - adopt and foster the pay-it-forward ethos that Justin personifies and embedded all those years ago when he started the website and forum.

Also, please make sure to read the community etiquette announcement for some important information and guidance.
