Hi Mike, thank you. Nice to hear from someone from the Kent locality.
Liked your playing that you posted. Apache sounded great, guitar seemed to have an authentic Shadows tone to my ears and did I detect a slight Shadows sway in your performance? Really good.
Best wishes,
Alan
Hi Alan, welcome. Participating in whichever way in the community side of Justin Guitar is a good complement to the lessons. I have a Yamaha guitar that was part of a beginner kit and as per customer service of Yamaha is equivalent to a Pacifica 012. It seem fine for me too for the time being. What I can’t get with the guitar itself I can get it combined with a multi-effect pedal. You can do that also with the amp you got. Have fun.
Welcome to the forums Alan While Justin’s teaching is world class, the community complements the courses beautiful and is a great resource for feedback, motivation, and inspiration. Glad you decided to join in, and hope you benefit from it as much as you have from the courses.
Hello Alan. Welcome to the Community. It’s great you have found inspiration to call in from watching an open mic.
I’ve had a number of Yamaha guitars over the years. For the longest time I had an SG400 and an FG as my electric / acoustic players. I’ve also had some Pacificas and just bought my second APX500. All of them were good to play.
If you need any help with a lesson specific question or with any general guitar learning question then do not hesitate to ask. There are many good folk here who will happily offer help and encouragement to those coming up behind them on Justin’s Beginner Courses. They embody and carry the pay-it-forward ethos we have nurtured for many years in our community. There are many old hands too who have years and (hopefully) a bit of wisdom they can bring as they give their support to those hitting the road blocks - which we all do. Perhaps, with your experience, you too can pass it on.
Just ask if you need anything.
Cheers
