Hello from Lincolnshire

Hi everyone just thought I’d pop in here after signing up to the app in November. Complete beginner wanting to play some of my favourite guitar rock tunes. Making steady progress by squeezing in practice between work and dad taxi runs! So far loving the easy pace of the app and the lessons.
Cheers

Welcome!

Hello Lee & Welcome!

Since you said that this is completely new to you…

I advise “newbies” to get a stand or wall hanger for your guitar. That way, it’s so much easier to pick up & play or practice when you only have a few minutes… I like to play a song, practice chord changes or scales while the coffee is brewing… that 5 minutes here & there adds up & really helps to progress faster! The other thing that really helps is to keep it FUN! If you’re having fun every time you pick up the guitar, you’ll pick it up more often… the more you play, the faster you learn, the better you get & the more fun you have!!! See where this is going?
Enjoy your Journey!

Hey mate, where abouts in Lincolnshire? I’m in North Hykeham and been doing Justin’s lessons for about 3 years.

I am in no way an Eddie Van Halen or Slash but hey, if you want some tips and perhaps a jam later on, giz a shout.

Cheers - I’m up in the wolds in a little village between Scunthorpe and Grimsby. As for a jam I will remember that once I can play more than four cords . Enjoying the start of my journey so far just need to squeeze in more practice time - hopefully my son will pass his driving test soon so no more Dad taxi!:crossed_fingers:
