Started late februari, now grade 1 module 5-6.
Love the method by Justin. Fingers stopped aching several months ago. Now trying to keep my right hand strumming and not stopping. Problems with switching to C and Dm. Rest pretty okay
Welcome aboard!
Hoi Mark,
Welcome here and I wish you a lot of fun
Miele uh Justin …er is geen betere ! nee echt niet online
Greetings,Rogier
Welcome @MarqV - glad to have you here! Are you using the Dashboard to track your chord changes?
Cheers,
Fanny
I have the app on my iPad and use that to do (and track) chord changes. Switch to recognise chord changes is ‘on’.
Sometimes Im under the impression I’m doing a great job, no wrong sounds, no muted strings and then it says I had 2 changes in that minute🤪. Seems they don’t allways register
iPad connected via Bluetooth to amp
With 30 changes in musopian practice all okay. I pass😎
Oh no! Seems like a bug. Any tips to prevent this @MusopiaApps ?
Great job on 30 changes.
Welcome to the community Mark.
Nice to meet you Mark I hope you enjoy cheers HEC
Hi Mark, welcome to the community forum. Consistent strumming will eventually happen with enough practice. Justin even recommends practicing strumming while muting the strings with your fretting hand. I do that and sometimes I practice strumming when I’m not even near the guitar Have fun playing songs and the strumming and chords get better naturally.
Practice is everything, even only for 3 times 5-10 minutes.
I thought 8 could never strum but using the strumming machine helped enormously! I can now even change strumming pattern. BUT if I need to make chord changes my mind says WTF😖
Hello Mark.
Welcome to JustinGuitar and this fantastic community. Please take your time to look around and get to know the wider space. View by Categories.
We are a supportive and encouraging group of students and guitarists from across the world. Essentially, we are all here for music and to improve as players. We truly are a ‘community’. Members help and support one another and a friendly, positive attitude underpins this. We hope that all - young or old, experienced or new players - adopt and foster the pay-it-forward ethos that Justin personifies and embedded all those years ago when he started the website and forum.
Also, please make sure to read the Community Etiquette announcement for some important information and guidance.
If you want to record yourself to show your progress and / or seek feedback there is our ever popular Community Recordings section.
Behind the scenes there is a small and dedicated team who work to make the JustinGuitar experience as good as it can be. Check out the Onboarding sessions provided by Fanny. Justin also has a small group of Approved Teachers he recommends for people wanting 1-to-1 lessons to supplement his courses - of which I am privileged to be one.
That is plenty to be going on with. It is a vast community space so if you need help as you find your way around just ask.
Cheers. Richard
