Hello from Milo in Bucharest, Romania

Hello everyone, Milo from Romania. I’ve started the guitar about 3 days ago and so far Justin’s course has been really enjoyable and I’ve gained the ability to move past the first module so I’m pretty happy with that. I hope I can keep my motivation so I can buy a new guitar in the summer.

Hello Milo & Welcome!

With Justin, you’ve found a really good teacher who can help you to stay very engaged & motivated!

My advice to you since you’re very new to guitar is to buy a wall hanger or stand so that your guitar is always ready to play! That way, when you only have a few minutes, you can pick it up & play or practice for 5 or 10 minutes!

Also, in order to stay motivated, always take some time when you’re playing to do something that is fun for you! The more fun you have, the more you will want to play… the more you play, the better you get! I get the most fun by playing songs… I always include some song playing in my practice sessions!

Good luck with your guitar Journey!!! :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

Hello Milo.
Welcome to JustinGuitar and this fantastic community. Please take your time to look around and get to know the wider space. View by Categories.

We are a supportive and encouraging group of students and guitarists from across the world. Essentially, we are all here for music and to improve as players. We truly are a ‘community’. Members help and support one another and a friendly, positive attitude underpins this. We hope that all - young or old, experienced or new players - adopt and foster the pay-it-forward ethos that Justin personifies and embedded all those years ago when he started the website and forum.

Also, please make sure to read the Community Etiquette announcement for some important information and guidance.

If you want to record yourself to show your progress and / or seek feedback there is our ever popular Community Recordings section.

Behind the scenes there is a small and dedicated team who work to make the JustinGuitar experience as good as it can be. Check out the Onboarding sessions provided by Fanny. Justin also has a small group of Approved Teachers he recommends for people wanting 1-to-1 lessons to supplement his courses.

That is plenty to be going on with. It is a vast community space so if you need help as you find your way around just ask.

Cheers. Richard

Welcome to the community Milo!

Hi Milo, welcome to the community forum.

Welcome Milo! Have you decided on a new guitar yet? I hope that keeping your eyes on a new guitar will be a good motivating factor for you. Best of luck to you, and remember to enjoy yourself.

Hi Milo welcome, good you started learning guitar. Good also that you felt ready to move from Module 1 very fast. Not necessarily expect that to be the norm. Here or there you can meet a roadblock and then keeping the motivation is of utmost importance to keep moving forward. Have fun.
