I am 60 yrs. young. I have been playing as a beginner for 30 years or so. I have been using Justin’s lessons for a couple of years now and they have improved my playing immensely. So “Yes, an old dog can learn new tricks”.

Welcome,
Glad to hear you’re taking off!
Never too old to learn.
Besides, 60yo certainly doesn’t make you top end in age here!

Hello Karl and welcome aboard.
Hello Karl, welcome to the community. Enjoy your time here.
Welcome Karl from another 60 year old!
Welcome Karl,
60/30 aren’t that long a time. I first ‘learned’ to play more than 50 years ago, but I never had any kind of ‘formal’ training. I just 'locked myself in a room until I could play something half-way decent (that’s a matter of opinion I’m told). After a few years I stepped away from it. Now that I’m 75 and have been ‘retired’ for a number of years and I found that I had more time on my hands than I knew what to do with, I decided to 1. buy myself something I always wanted - a Fender Strat (I have had a 12-string acoustical since the beginning) and 2. get back in the game and see if I could finally master the thing.
Good luck with your journey.
Jeff
