Hello Jeff :slightly_smiling_face:

Thank you for your kind welcome message.
Great to know that some Queen fans are here, too. Yes, the story behind the Red Special is very lovely. Homemade with the help of his dad and then played through his entire career. So if you’ve found the right guitar, you never would like to have any other. I like that thought.

I’m hoping that Justin will include some more tutorials for Queen songs in the future. I voted for all of them on the song request page. Bohemian Rhapsody is nearly at the top of that list. So let’s keep our fingers crossed, that we’ll get a tutorial for this iconic piece of music history very soon … :grinning:

Cheers :guitar:

Thank you for your kind welcome message and your encouraging words.
Yes, I’m sure that I’ve found the right place here with lots of kind and helpful people - even some from Germany :grinning:
I’m located in the west (Ruhrgebiet).
Thanks for your kind words about my Red Special. Yes, it is a beautiful guitar, unfortunately it doesn’t sound as beautiful yet (at least when I’m playing it ). Just ask my neighbours - they could tell some stories :joy:

But I’m here to work on it …

Cheers :grinning:

Thank you for your kind welcome message.
Yes, the knitted Brian May (made by a friend) watches over my daily practise routine. He is very patient and an enduring listener

Hello Rogier :slightly_smiling_face:

Thanks a lot for your kind welcome message - and for your great effort and support solving my reply-problem earlier this afternoon.

Yes, there are more amps than guitars. The amps somehow found me, really don’t know how this happened. But they are very useful when guitar friends are visiting: They always bring their own guitars, but they never bother to carry their own amps
As for the guitars: when you’ve found the right one, you never want to play anyone else, I guess.
But I have to admit that I’ve set my eyes on a nice acoustic, too. So maybe one day …

Cheers :grinning:

Hello Keith :slightly_smiling_face:

Thanks a lot for your kind welcome message and the funny story
Sounds familiar to me: My thoughts had been “Well, a guitar is easier to carry around than a piano.”
But in my case it would be more “playing songs for the guys”

All the best for your guitar journey, too.

Cheers :grinning:

Hello Gunhild
welcome also from my side - I’m also in Nuremberg (hello @andyPlays btw  ), and by chance I used to live not too far away from Dortmund (decades ago). The world is a small place sometimes, but with this forum it’s fascinating to read from / connect with people from different corners of the globe making the world feel even smaller.
Wishing you lots of fun here!

Hi Gunhild, welcome. Just feeling the progress with the guitar, that one day you can’t do something and that next day, week or month you’re able to do it, is a very rewarding experience. Enjoy playing your guitars (and :musical_keyboard: if you still hit the keys).
