Hello, I'm Lisa from France

Hi everyone :waving_hand:

I’m Lisa, 28, living in the south of France :sun: and I’ve started guitar like… a week ago ?
I’ve trying playing when I was around 14 but stopped because I didn’t know how to manage to “teach myself”. I’ve played a little bit of piano instead, and it really made me feel happy at this time, then I stopped when I started going to college because of lack of time (by the way, I’m a pediatric dentist).

I always wanted to try again guitar, and as a huge a fan of The Last of Us, the new season airing with this “take on me” scene (if you know, you know), just brought again this obsession so I decided to buy a guitar and start. I bought a Parlor because it feels like classic guitars are “too big” for me and the neck too large, and I wanted to feel comfortable. I changed the strings to extra light ones and find this Justin Guitar website which I love and I really wanna be serious about my learning to serenade my friends later :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

It’s been a week and I finished module 2… let’s see how it goes (my fingers of BOTH my hands hurt now as the left ones hurt because of the guitar and the right ones from some bites from kids )

Cheers

I love it too.

First off welcome to the community. Super stoked you found it. There are a ton of resources and there are a lot of great people who are very encouraging and friendly.

The Last of Us is so good. So many great songs from the show and the game. I am also a big fan of Fall Out, there are a lot of cool songs to play from there as well.

Speaking of The Last of Us, I have been working on the Pearl Jam song ‘Future Days’ I am playing and singing Joels version rather than Ellie, I guess thats really Eddie’s from Pearl Jam’s version. It is such a good song, but It’s so sad  . I love your avatar and the background.

Oh yeah, The finger pain is temporary, push through it and soon it will be gone and your fingers will be super strong before you know it.

Bienvenue Lisa à notre rassemblement de bons étrangers.

I’ve got good news for you, and bad news too:

  • Your left hand finger pain will subside shortly,
your guitar choices are well informed
you’ve found yourself a great group
  • Your right hand finger pain will continue into the foreseeable future.

Mangez, jouez, et amusez-vous bien :upside_down_face:
