I started picking up the guitar in 2019 (my first and only guitar is a Suzuki classical one) 'cause I wanted to be a music therapist and being able to play the guitar was one of the requirements. I stumbled across JustinGuitar and it really helped me a lot when it came to learning from ground zero.
I took a pause during covid which was also the time I was training to be a music therapist in Sydney. After returning to Singapore and starting work as an early intervention music therapist (where I have to constantly play guitar), very recently I decided to pick up where I left off and I’m so surprised and delighted that JustinGuitar is so revamped now with heaps of really helpful features and I can already feel myself much more motivated to challenge/learn new stuff compared to years ago. Great job and thank you so much Justin and team!
Welcome aboard Amanda and well done you on the music therapist. It all sounds really interesting and such a great reason to learn guitar. Good luck with it all.
Hi there Amanda and welcome. I hadn’t heard the term ‘music therapist’ before and after looking it up it looks like a great vocation. Congrats on completing your course.
