Hello All,

My name’s Kasey. Just jumping back into music full bore after a number of years, don’t want to date myself, of on and off playing. I was self taught and now that I’m older I realize I’m missing so much technically. Decided, let’s just start over and here I am. Just finished Grade 1 and am exited to start the beginner music theory. Great to meet all of you. Happy Musiking!

Haha! Thanks a ton roger! I’m not terribly old. Approaching the 50 mark, though my face has seen a boomerang or two. :wink: Certainly mid-life crisis time though, as Sweetwater loved me for Black Friday. 7K later. Hope to talk to you soon my friend!

No, that was not why I thought in my brain that … (although the other Kasay I know here is a woman) I fear my assumption was a limitation in my thinking :face_with_crossed_out_eyes: (for lack of a better word) because you did not want to talk about your age…stupid Dutch man :head_shaking_horizontally:… I will humbly go through the dust and will do penance in an appropriate way … :blush:

Now I have to practice some guitar piece …see you arround and …have fun :smiling_face_with_sunglasses:

Hope you’ll have fun and I’ll have to agree with Rogier that learning and playing the guitar, singing, making songs is a really good remedy!

Hi Kasey, welcome to the community forum. You made the right decision starting at Grade 1. Have fun in Grade 2. There is a lot covered in grade 2 and so many great songs that you can learn.

Welcome to the forum. Look forward to hearing more from you. Nice thing about the guitar, while it’s challenging at the very start, the rewards are huge. Visualise yourself having a repertoire of a half dozen songs you can pull out of your back pocket. You’ll be there soon.
