I was recording with GarageBand. I connected everything with Focusrite. I looked at the MacBook if the Mic and guitar is working and recorded it. When I finished the guitar was not recorded. GarageBand knows that there is an instrument connected until I hit record. I don’t know why that is.
Maybe somebody has the same problem
Have you set ‘Record enable’ on the track in Garageband? No idea why this isn’t the default for a new track, but I don’t think it is.
Yes it is. When I don’t record you see the green line like in your picture at Audio 1. When I click on record it does not work anymore. Other times it just works a few seconds at the beginning but with a noise like a radio station out of frequency. I thought maybe it is the cable but the green line always is there when I don’t record.
I will record the screen today so you can see what mean.
That sounds less likely to be a GB problem on the surface. A recording might help.
I assume you have the input selected correctly as the Focusrite?
Can you record ok with just the laptop mic (no AI)?
I tried it again and know it is working. I had this problem before on windows. I don’t know why this problem is. Maybe it is the cable
