Hey all, I am Greg from Atlanta. I’ve been trying to teach myself guitar on and off for quite a while, but I feel I’ve really been sticking with it and making good progress the last year or so. I’ve used Justin Guitar as my main resource - I think I started watching the lessons back in 2012 or so. I even have one of the old physical beginner books sitting around somewhere!
I took piano lessons from about 10 through leaving for college and still try to keep up with that. I also played trumpet and spent some time in chorus as well.
I really enjoy guitar for playing and singing along, and I find myself wanting to learn songs from artists like Hozier and Matt Maeson.
I’m somewhere in the middle of grade 3 right now, and I feel like I’m hitting a stride with finally being able to learn a good amount of songs that I’m interested in
Hoping to get to talk to folks about guitar, performing, and just enjoying music!

Hey Greg, welcome to the community. Good to hear from you. My dad lived in Georgia (Valdesto) before he passed away, I enjoyed visiting him there and playing a few tunes for him on my guitar. Look forward to hearing more from you.
