Hello Rhodri & Welcome!!!

Curious about whether you went with an acoustic or an electric? (Pics are ALWAYS welcome here… we enjoy drooling over beautiful guitars!)

Also, are you a total newbie without any previous guitar experience? If so, I always advise that you get yourself a wall hanger or a stand so that your guitar is “ready to play” at a moment’s notice… no getting it out of the closet & taking it out of the case etc… that way, when you have 5 or 10 minutes to play, you just pick it up & practice - I like to do scales or chord progressions while my coffee’s brewing in the mornings!

Have lots of fun & congratulations!

Hi, it’s an electo-acoustic. Got it from my local music store called ‘The Practice Pad’ came with a case, stand, picks and strap so it’s currently on it’s stand in my living room.

Currently doing about half hours practice eaxh day and a day off when my ring finger gets too sore

I understand that! The finger pain does get better & will eventually go away.

That’s actually one of the things a stand helps with. You play for 5-10 minutes, put the guitar down for a while then repeat until you get your 30-60 minutes in! Also, the extra few minutes here & there will help more than you’d think!

It’s strange, yesterday i was struggling so put it down, came back today and it just seemed like my fingers knew what to do. Was a good feeling. I know there’ll be good and bad days, the same with anything.
