Hi everyone

I’m Steve from deepest darkest Scotland I’ve experimented playing the violin many years ago but it wasn’t very successful or pleasant sounding. I have been watching Justin for many years and at the age of 57 bit the bullet last week and bought myself a squier sonic telecaster. My taste in music is quite eclectic ranging from some pop but mostly rock to metal and very into the blues.

Hi Steve & Welcome!

My advice to brand-new guitarists (Yes, you are officially a Guitarist now!) is to get a stand or wall hanger so your new six-stringed buddy is always ready to play at a moment’s notice!!! I like to practice for a few minutes while my coffee is brewing in the morning!
Good luck & Keep it loads of Fun!!!

Thanks for the very warm welcome it’s very appreciated. I have chosen today as a rest day even though I’ve only had two days of practice my poor fingertips were a little sore. I’m currently doing the recommended 20 minutes a day and finding by the time I’m trying to play along with a song or two that is enough. Looking forward to developing some calluses to make playing more fun.
