Hi from Nikki in the UK

Hi Nikki ,

Welcome here and I wish you a lot of fun :sunglasses:

I think I like your man… :guitar: great gift

Feel free to watch my very first video in the dark of mine then you don’t have to wonder whether you should be better before you post something, I hope  … at least record something and keep it for yourself … the sooner you post (or keep it private) something, the faster you will see an improvement and that gives a nice boost…

Greetings,Rogier

Welcome Nikki

Posting your first video is a BIG step! I found it very daunting, but once you do it the support you’ll find here makes it worthwhile.

So, basically, go for it

Mick

That’s a great introduction Nikki. We can all relate to sitting for multiple hours “trying to get good.” As for your father’s phrase “head mashing rammel,” an A/I query says rammel is an old English word meaning something like “Underbrush, trash, hard barren soil, discarded or waste matter, and fallen branches or what was left over when tanners and charcoal burners had used what they wanted.” Guns N Roses fans will disagree with your father and say Rock On!

Welcome to the forum Nikki

Welcome to the community, Nikki!

HAve loads of fun on your guitar journey!

Welcome Nikki! Your husband sounds like a keeper! :guitar:  Looking forward to hearing about your continuing journey.

Welcome Nikki!

It sounds like you’ve got a great attitude towards learning. One of the things I enjoy with guitar and music in general is that there is always room to learn and grow more. It sounds like you embrace a similar mindset. I look forward to seeing you post a recording sometime.

Having just recently come out from lurking myself, I can say that everyone here seems very friendly and welcoming. I haven’t posted any of my own recordings yet, but it’s been more due to not having had the time to do so. Unlike some communities I’ve lurked in, I feel much more comfortable about the prospect of sharing something here.

Welcome Nikki, I did it, and I’m generally very shy. We’d love to hear you.

Hi Nikki,

Welcome to the community forum. :grinning:
I laughed out loud when I read your introduction. Many of us have been in a similar situation.

This really is the best place for exploring och breaking comfort zones about your guitar playing.

Hello Nikki.
Welcome to JustinGuitar and this fantastic community. Please take your time to look around and get to know the wider space.

We are a supportive and encouraging group of students and guitarists from across the world. Essentially, we are all here for music and to improve as players. We truly are a ‘community’. Members help and support one another and a friendly, positive attitude underpins this. We hope that all - young or old, experienced or new players - adopt and foster the pay-it-forward ethos that Justin personifies and embedded all those years ago when he started the website and forum.
