Finally getting around to saying hello on this forum! I actually started learning the guitar about ten years ago, using Justinguitar. Coming back to the site a year or two ago, I was amazed at how it had transformed, and the beginner to intermediate journey now looks amazing (it was good before too!).
That this resource is free, with things to pay for if you can afford it, is so amazing. I’ve tried in person guitar lessons a couple of times, but haven’t found a good fit for my advanced-in-some-ways, beginner-in-others position.
Anyway, I find the site an invaluable resource, and look forward to meeting you all virtually

I also watched your song on instagram. great style. fingerpicken is not easy.
If you don’t win the electric you could always pick up a used one. They are really fun to play and the quality of budget guitars is amazing these days. I have found that learning Fingerstyle is the thing that has improved my playing the most. probably because of the intense connection between left and right hand through hours of repetition.

Thanks Will! Yeah, you’re right with the electric. I tried a couple of times, but I wasn’t good at figuring out the set up as a whole (amp etc.) and found it so hard to keep strings muted in a way that isn’t necessary on the accoustic. Requires a delicate touch!
I agree with the fingerstyle - and practice seems to soothe the brain in nice way. I might post some covers, as I love trying to learn fingerpicking songs.
