I’m just starting out, which at over 60 is a bit of a cool thing, to me at least!
I have a guitar and I’m doing the first module of the course, going on to second shortly I hope.
It’s slow going, as I know nothing of music, at all, I’ve just never started any musical things in the past.
So it’s all new, and really interesting.
Hello Paul, and a warm welcome to the community .
I also started from scratch 15 months ago, and I’m so glad, I did it . This guitar journey is so fulfilling, and it’s amazing how quickly you’re able to play the first songs.
I wish you lots of fun with your six-string-friend and look forward to hearing more from you .
Welcome Paul, you’ve definitely got the right teacher in Justin and the right place here for any support you need. You’re embarking on an amazing journey!
I’m t’other end of the country to you (sorry, couldn’t resist!) but as you’ll see the community here is truly global.
Hi Paul & Welcome!
You’ll find a lot of “Old Dogs” in this community that started their guitar journey a bit later in life! There’s even an “Old Dog” thread on here that’s pretty fun to read! Good luck & don’t let anything stop you! Remember that it’s all about the fun!
Paul, welcome to the community. Any time is a great time to start learning guitar. Since you are just starting out with no musical background going slow is a great plan. Don’t be afraid to ask questions on the community forum. There are tabs for discussion for each of the lessons on the website. Have fun learning some songs for each of the modules.
Hi Paul,
Welcome to our community, lots of support and fun here. I’m one of those old dogs from Derbyshire😁. Justin is a brilliant teacher so you’re in the right place.
Take your time and let it all sink in. Enjoy the ride.
Hey Paul, welcome to the community. I didn’t start playing till my mid 50s and now 10 years plus on I’m so glad I stuck with it! Look forward to hearing more from you.
