Hello, huge fan of your lessons. As a technical instructor myself for 30 years, I pick up on all the small bits you include, which is amazing and extremely difficult.
On highway to hell I wondered is the thumb could be used in the D with an F sharp base? Out of all my fumbling around that fingering is easiest for me. If someone could acknowledge if the Thumb style of D with the F sharp is acceptable or could trip me up, I would appreciate it very much. Happy New Year!

Jeff, so long as you’re catching a ean F# note in the bass thumb or stretched out finger is good.

love the lesson, I thought it was more difficult to learn. The part of the solo 
not so much, I think I am not ready yet
Would it be possible to get a tab of just the solo as Justin is playing it in the lesson? I can follow it just fine until the very end. The last lick doesn’t seem to match the included tab and he sort of flies through the ending and even makes a mistake in how he is describing it. It makes it very difficult to follow.
