Not much to be said. The quickest and simplest song I’ve ever assembled but I like it I think.

Home! Home is where I wanna be!
Home! Waiting all across the sea!
And I hope you’re waiting,
Waiting by the shore for me
I hope you’re waiting,
Waiting by the shore for me
Wind! Blow me where I belong,
Wind! Lift me with your gentle song,
I’ll keep on sailing,
Sailing till the night is gone.
I’ll keep on sailing,
Sailing till the night is done.
Dreams! Guide me through the open skies,
Dreams! Shining in your waiting eyes,
Every wave reminds me,
Love is where my spirit flies.
Every wave reminds me,
Love is where your spirit lies.
Moon! Breaking through the cloudy grey,
Sun! Calling at the break of day,
And you keep on burning,
Home is never far away.
Keep on shining,
Home is where I’m gonna stay.
Home! Home is where I wanna be!
Home! Waiting all across the sea!
And I hope you’re waiting,
Waiting by the shore for me
I hope you’re waiting,
Waiting by the shore for me.
Great! An excellent example how a good song can be created without playing much. Awesome sound and beautiful lyrics (as much as I can judge not being a native speaker).
Congrats and thanks for sharing.
Absolutely brilliant Dom. Just got back last week to Chicago after a wonderful few weeks back home in Ireland🇮🇪 and listening to this makes we want to go back again soon… A simple but a perfect song.
Wow, a pleasant surprise this morning! I love the simple, droning (in a good way) accompaniment, which to me is very fitting to express someone’s state of mind when enduring a long, difficult journey to eventual joy. They both sort of ‘just keep going no matter what’. Effective, even poignant lyrics. Good song!
The control to not open up and start strumming and upping the energy in the vocal is a testament to your ability to keep it chilled
I really wanted you to open up more but by the end it gave me that kinda folkish/shanty sorta vibe of just a really well written and quiet song… May it be sang by campfires wherever you roam dude!
Funny you should say that. I’ve played it a couple of times since in a noisy pub setting and there’s no option but to strum and speed up which changes the mood but I’ve regained some of the emotion using harmonica backing so it’s the best trade off where volume (unplugged) is required.
