How about a advertisment Jingle

I thought this was really cool, I had no idea that this company was world wide and used the same melody. I hope the creator is relaxing and enjoying his payout. Because our carglass commercials are on all the time.

Do you guys have any more great jingles? Post them up

I tend to avoid adverts as much as possible. Prefer to be practicing.

Yeah I hear you, I dont watch tv either, but I listen to local radio sometimes especially for traffic reports and local weather spotify does not tell me that info.

Also these spots have been on for years and I just started playing. I thought it was neat to hear the same jingle behind 20 different languages. Playing musical jingles is a industry that some musicians work in not sure there is anything wrong with that. A gig is a gig.

Hey Jason, my son’s gonna like your post. He already noticed this when we watched french tv and sang along… some languages sound even fun

Often these things can be annoying, but it’s better to laugh about them than to get annoyed.

I’ll have to think of something really stupid from my youth… uhm…
Always hated the Telekom/T-Mobile jingle

Oh - well, how about a best tv spots jingle medley in the next open mic? Or will I get banned then?

A million of em. As an Aussie though, you Northerners would never have heard of them.

Can be a fun and beneficial exercise attempting to transcribe to the guitar on the fly…

Cheers, Shane

Right. Harmonic analysis of what makes something catchy and gets peoples attention. It can be used in many ways including song writing for a chorus or a bridge perhaps.

I am looking forward to your song with a chorus like that jingle above

Also we could create a jingle for JG.
ā€œEven if you’re totally untalented, Justin makes you a guitarist in no timeā€

Japanese pop-punk trio Shonen Knife played the Cavern in Liverpool last night. Unfortunately I couldn’t make it (I would have worn my autographed T-shirt :smiling_face_with_sunglasses:). They were one of Kurt Cobain’s favourite bands and toured with Nirvana before they hit the big time with Nevermind.
Their jingle Tortoise Brand Pot Cleaner is a real ear-worm and has gnawed away a fair portion of my brain since the early nineties :sign_of_the_horns:

Lord David Dundas (legit!) had a big hit with his Jeans Jingle in ā€˜76.
I used to love singing the chorus to this song when I was on my :motorcycle:

You and me- we’ll go motorbike riding in the sun and the moon and the rain
I got money in my pocket; a tiger in my tank-
And I’m King of the road agaiiiiinnn…
(bit of trivia: he also wrote the soundtrack for the masterpiece Withnail and I :open_mouth:)

And finally, what old dog can forget the mother of all commercials for the ā€˜Questionable CocaCola Company’ in ’71 :grimacing:. It became a hit for the New Seekers in I’d like to teach the world to sing

If you have to listen to a musical advertisement try this one, a jingle heard in every part of the world. This one features Marvin Gaye and Terrell, Aretha Franklin, Diana Ross and The Supremes, The Moody Blues, Petula Clark and others.

Or play along with the Coke classic ā€œI’d Like to Teach the World to Singā€ which sold sugar water to the world. E F# B A E chords.

Oh Same chord progression as the grateful dead scarlet begonias

Hey, @Ontime Jason, Scarlet Begonias makes a great warm up exercise. Play along with open, barre and triad chords up and down the neck, toss in some of your own licks.
