How to combine the Course and App

Hi there! I am new to the Courses and I started with the web course and installed the App afterwards. It seems to me that the lessons on the App are shorter videos/sequences from the original videos on the website. So should I just skip the videos in the App when I´m learning with the website and just do the exercises/songs with the App?

Also under the video lessons you can find a text which explains the material from the lesson. Can I just watch the video and skip reading the text again? I used to watch the video lessons AND read the text below but it is very time consuming and I don´t see a big benefit by doing it.

Thanks for your help!

Not an app user but don’t skip the text on the website lessons, There are many gems here not covered in the videos. Read the text.

Like Toby says it’s always good to read the text to reinforce the learning experience. I’ve not used the app in a long time. Back when I used it the videos were the same as that on the website. The way I tackled it was to watch the lessons on both as there is always something you may have missed on the first watch and then use the app for the play along feature to work on your rhythm.

Hello Nermin & welcome!

I like to use the website for learning & tracking my progress & generally use the app for play-alongs…
That being said, if I am sitting somewhere waiting, like when my wife is in the Dr.’s office & I am just killing time, I review lessons on the app. I find that when just listening without my guitar in hand, I’m listening more mindfully instead of fiddling with my guitar & often pick up on something Justin is teaching that I didn’t notice the first time through the lesson.
Also, the Strumming course in the app is a good resource… it’s like Strumming SOS but pared down a bit & free to app subscribers!
Have fun!!!
