How to Use MatchMySound

I love this!

In case it’s helpful to anyone, you control the tempo by typing in a new beats per minute value next to the note symbol in the upper left corner.

I stared at this for 3 days wondering why there wasn’t a way to slow it down before I saw that. Yes really. It just didn’t grab my eyes as an input or control of any kind.

@larynejg Suggestion for the course: please provide a .mp3 of the medley for practice like in BLIM. It’s not convenient for me to use MatchMySound everyday in my practice so the mp3 would be helpful for most days.

This MMS tool would be useful if it wasn’t full of glitches.

The metronome in all 3 of these song lessons all have a part or two where it speeds up or slows quite obviously.

My pitch score is higher than 88, and when I play back my recording, the playback shows some random parts where the pitch shifts upward similar to a record or cassette tape speeding up, even though this obviously didn’t happen when I recorded myself.

Lastly, so many times after I finish recording I get some score in the 60s or 70s and the notice says I didn’t finish the song, even though I did front to back and even let the final notes ring until recording automatically stops.

In fact, this just happened last two times in a row, so I’m done with this tool. It’s too bugged. I’ll just record myself to a metronome app that is actually steady and listen to my own playback to listen for pitch problems.

@JesseLGoulet Did you try using Firefox browser ? I had better luck with Firefox than Google Chrome when recording. It’s weird but my score went from really bad to 90+ with Firefox.

No I don’t use any other browser other Safari

If anything doesn’t work with Safari, then it’s a crap product that I don’t bother with. Safari is one of the most used, if not MOST USED, browsers in the world, and if something doesn’t work with it, then it’s garbage.
