"I Knew It, I Knew You" Taylor Swift (Toy Story 5) cover

My first Taylor Swift cover- not sure if that makes me a Swiftie or not  but I like this song and I love Toy Story! The song is fun to play and I even threw in a little harmonica playing. I got the harmonica several months ago near the beginning of BLIM 4 because I liked so many of the Blues songs that feature it. I was thinking about learning it then but never had time. I still dont really ā€œknowā€ how to play the harmonica but I watched a few videos this week and came up with something. Youtube only let me upload 60 sec of the song though

Very beautiful rendition Sonyal! BRAVA :grinning_face_with_big_eyes:

I think the reason is because the video is like a square (like for Instagram) and YT recognised it as a short - if you edit it with a Video Editor App and choose the YT format you should be able to upload it correctly.

Thanks @Silvia80! YT blocks it globally and restricts it to 60 sec due to copyright violation. I’ve noticed this happens with certain artists I’ve covered - The Beatles/ Beyonce (Blackbird), Pink Floyd (Wish You Were Here). I’ll add Taylor Swift to the list :slightly_smiling_face:

Sonyal, are your YouTube videos hidden, or does that not matter for copyright?

Sometimes when I upload stuff. It automatically wants to make itself a short. It is sort of annoying. I found that it only happens when I do my upload using the YT Studio app on my mobile and when the video is under two and half minutes. For some reason I can not force it to uploaded as a regular video in that app. When that is the case iI just upload from my you tube app.

But TBH the shorts get way way more views, it sort of nuts how much more exposure my shorts get. I am talking like 800 views vs 40 from the regular. I know it does not matter to some people me niether really. If you are looking for overall views, the shorts is not a bad thing to up load some things into, especially if you link back to you other stuff.

Great song and video. Your channel is looking great btw.

Strong work girl :mechanical_arm::mechanical_arm:
You are killing it, and I love it.

Hi Heidi :waving_hand: I’ve noticed that it seems that the algorithm hides my videos from the search results- if that’s what you’re talking about. I searched for this one, for example, and could not find it after a lot of scrolling.

Hi Sonyal, I mean in the last step of uploading a video to YouTube you get a choice:

Visibility has 3 Bullets: (Zichtbaarheid)

First is Private (nobody can see it)
Second is Hidden (only people that have a link to your video can see it)
you did provide a link in this post on the Community
Third is Public (everybody on youtube can see it).

Only public video’s come up in the search I think. I don’t know about shadow banning,. Do video’s they (YouTube) shadow ban come up in searches. I don’t know.

My Question was if you made the video Public or Hidden?

Sorry I am Dutch speaking so the text on my image is Dutch.

You’re sounding great in this clip Sonyal. Guitar and voice. Shame it’s recorded as a short, which played with a few stutters for me, and I would have like to seen your L & R hand technique, but they’re cut off in the video format used…

Thank you @Willsie! I usually make sure I have both hands in the frame or at least my fretting hand but I was standing in this clip and must have moved out of the frame during this take (I did several takes bc I was getting tripped up on those lyrics- ā€œdaze of the blades of the grassā€ etc :winking_face_with_tongue: I need to put a marker on the floor
