I love it when I recognise familiar locations in a film or music video-
It always makes me
Iām not talking about iconic buildings/landscapes, but lesser-known ones that Iāve been to.
Anyone else got any gems?
An example is Robert Miles ā95 tune Children , (multiple locations) but includes driving up the snow-covered Chamonix valley in winter, an annual ski-pilgrimage I made with the family for about 20 years (thereās an amazing split motorway section at 3.12 sec in, as well as the building on Lake Geneva , where my wifeās parents lived when I met them.
Another is this clip by awesome Irish tradrock band The Horselips-
It was filmed on a rooftop in central Dublin (on Lower Baggot St.) and features many familiar structures- South Dublin Bay with St. Maryās Church behind the fiddler; The Pepperpot Cannister church behind the bassist; Poolbeg power station behind the keyboard player and the (long removed) āgasometerā behind the guitarist.
Dude on bass could not be any more 70ās
there is a video of my birth house on national television (but I was bigger than you when you was filmed there ) and when I was still walking) with me in it (hospital documentary but I regret it so so so much that I donāt share it ā¦received far too much attention for a very long time )ā¦and there are quite a lot of video of places where Iāve been there but I donāt have the time and the desire to looking for itā¦just start with cycling films/documentaries and archive material from the Giro and itās endlessā¦
Greetings ā¦Now Iām giving the laptop to the woman for a whileā¦I can look at the phone, but typing is grrrrrrrrrrom
Damn I always loved that tune and watched that clip so many times when it passed on MTV.
Listening to it again make me realise the beat they used is so dry and dirty
There used to be a video clip of Novastar where I was in for a brief shot but I donāt think it can be found somewhere. Fimed at āAxion beach rockā in 1999 or 2000.
