I put a sound hole pickup in my HB GS Travel

So just for the fun of it I decided to get a relatively inexpensive Sound hole pickup for my HB GS Travel acoustic, it’s a great inexpensive small acoustic that is played the most of my acoustic guitars. I particularly like it for acoustic blues, so I had a bit of a :light_bulb:moment and went for a “Woody” style single coil pickup that has a jack entry that replaces the strap button.
It’s turned out really good and sounds great for Blues and general strumming and picking. It’s not noise free but tolerable.

Lookin good Darrell.

Best part to me is that your taking a known instrument to you, that you already like, and made it electric capable. + I’d guess it still sounds like the acoustic it is.
Seems like most folks don’t like them piezo pups that come pre setup for acoustic. You’d be getting that acoustic sound out of your setup with the sound hole pup.
Plus, It looks like ya could undo your setup if you wanted to. Ya’d never know it was there as no mods have been done to your guitar.
Or, move your sound hole pup to a different guitar too.
A win, win, win.

Nice looking setup and have a lot of fun.

Thanks, yeah that’s the beauty of doing it like this, it doesn’t have a piezo pickup anyway at the price they were you know they wouldn’t have been very good. This sounds more electric especially if you add some gain, but you have to be careful unless you’re partial to wild feedback

Methinks this deserves aural evidence of a job well done…
just writin’…
