I Saw Her Standing There. Since I’m still out on the injured list from playing basketball on Monday & Friday mornings, here we go with a cover of a classic Beatles hit.
After finishing Grade 1 of my justinguitar online guitar lessons, I was challenged us to learn 5 songs that I could play & sing from memory before moving on to Grade 2. I found this incredibly difficult because I usually play with a chord sheet in front of me. So . . . here is song 2 of 5. Enjoy! Hopefully!

Interestingly, there was a girl who was just seventeen, Connie, and you know what I mean, she caught my eye, & later my heart. Three years later we got married. Earlier this year we celebrated our 47th wedding anniversary.
@redrivermonkey : Nice one Robert ! Playing the guitar, singing, enjoying it & smiling at the same time is already a great achievement ! Good vibes here :). Tx to you, I think I will consider to add this song in my personal "on the fly playlist "
Love the joy and enthusiasm in your performances, Robert, great vibes. And the playing and singing sounds good to me.
Congrats on the wedding anniversary, thanks for sharing the pictures.
You’ll see I edited the first post, changing the syntax of the link. Try not to use that youtu.be format which I think comes from a phone upload somehow.
Great stuff, well done and a heartwarming story, I have my 50th in about a week’s time, it’s a great achievement to be proud of when you’re still together after all of that time - it shows that you chose each other wisely!
Robert, this was a very enjoyable listen, and thanks for the picture story. Great stuff.
My wife and I passed the 50 mark last month. A testament to a good woman!
Edit your original post and you can see mine. It is the watch link from the YouTube page when playing the video. Starts with youtube rather than youtu.be
