Richard, congrats on the new Tele. That is a guitar that should be fun to play.
Nice tele Richard !
Well if you want to get a guitar not too far off (in looks) to Francis Rossi’s tele, Squier did a special run classic vibe Tele custom in Olive green with cream double binding. Still not exactly like Rossi’s as his didn’t have binding and I think he had 3 single coils (Nashville style?)
I got one of those. Now I have to start trying to learn some Status Quo songs!!!
Happy NGD
Lovely guitar Richard
Congratulations Richard!!! Happy NGD! I hope you have a wonderful time with your new guitar!!!

Hi Richard,
Happy NGD
I wanted to say “what an amazing beautiful color green”…well, gray is also nice my stratocaster is gray…
I especially wish you lots of time with your guitar and less behind the computer
Greetings
Hi Richard! Happy NGD! What a wonderful tele, the colour is just stunning! Wish you lots of fullfilling hours together.
Interesting to read, you didn’t bond with your strat.
Same here, I started out on my son’s strat, but didn’t feel “at home”.
So, enjoy the new guitar, it’s well deserved
Well that created a wry smile … 3 oxymorons in one … … but what’s in a name, it certainly looks the part …
Happy NGD, Richard, quite a find, and hope to hear you play it here sometime.
p.s. I like the colour
Happy NGD to you
Congratulations Richard!
For guys, getting a new guitar is having a new baby- The anticipation, anxiety, and joy when it arrives out of the box in good nick!
Quite rightly, everyone you show the photos to will say how beautiful it is (even if it had a scrunched up wrinkly face ).
It looks in great nick, and although I prefer the olive green artifact, grey is good. (My ‘Daphne Blue’ Cindy is now ‘Dirty Harry Grey’. It goes better with the graffiti…
All I know is that with all the advice you have given us here on the forum and all the online searches you have done for us for second hand guitars, you are likely to have ticked all the boxes for your budget, and probably a couple of extras as well.
Enjoy your new baby and don’t forget to give it a good slap so we can hear it scream all the way from Newcastle!
Thanks Mr Larsen … but … but … Newcastle ! ! ? ?
Guilty, M’Lud!
Anywhere farther ‘up North’ than where I live, is Newcastle (or Scotland).
Getting called a geordie Richard haha
Happy NGD Richard, it’s a beauty!
I quite like the British Racing Green effect how did that happen, the online pics are more gun metal but still very nice. Happy NGD
I photographed it in a room with green things.
I tried again today in a different room.
Much more true to life.
You can treat it as a cool feature. Makes the guitar much more interesting looking.
Nice rig! Congrats.
You did keep the strat though, didn’t you?
Definitely more GMG in that light, really nice colour but you now need a BRG one to match !
It hasn’t gone … yet.
