Been working on this for a couple of days. Found picking the F minor chord cleanly pretty challenging - good practice for that. Also, remembering all these words is getting harder. But good for the brain.
As a beginner I can’t judge professionally, but for me the picking and your singing sound great and I’d love to listen to it a few more times. Thank you very much.
This was really good. The guitar is so beautiful. Good singing too, even though I don’t know the song.
That is really beautiful.
Very nice
Really beautiful job on a beautiful song!
Jay
That was superb. You are so comfortable singing and playing: the song - the music and the words - are centre-stage. Your quiet confidence gives the song tremendous power. Encore!
Brian
Thanks Brian. I’m glad it appears that way, but it seems like I went over this about a bajillion times before I could get through it without major mistakes on either the picking or forgetting lyrics. I have a hard time sustaining the kind of relaxed concentration that is required.
Fantastic, your performance really draws in the the listener!
Great job playing amd singing. I love this song, you did a great job.
Great rendition, Jay
Jay, a great performance of guitar playing and singing. I was drawn into the song by your clear beautiful fingerpicking and then by your vocal interpretation of the song. I am bookmarking this video as an excellent example of this song. I marveled at your use of both thumb and finger picks. I’ve used a thumb pick before, but never was comfortable with the finger picks. Maybe I will have to revisit them again.
This was beautiful! What a lovely version of this song.
Beautiful performance Jay!
Great performance , very enjoyable to listen to!
Thank you, Laura, and welcome to our community!
Thank you, Steve. I have very short fingernails, and I had to learn to use fingerpicks in order to get a clear sound while fingerpicking. It took many months, and I still have a hard time fingerpicking at open mics when nerves become a factor.
Good stuff Jay. A very enjoyable listen.
Thank you, Laura, and welcome to the community.
Great Job!
