Bravissima, Silvia! :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

That was just sweet and beautifully played. I instantly released some tension while listening. Given it is your own arrangement (a very fine one, indeed!), makes this performance even more admirable. Nevermind the hiccups, as you said, another few times playing it through will iron it out and really, I didn’t hear as many as you do yourself being your own worst critique.

What a great achievment! Thanks so much for sharing and lighting up my tired start of the day.

What a lovely piece Silvia, I am very impressed that you are doing your own arrangements.

I am having private lessons now and my teacher says that everyone makes mistakes, even at professional level - and no one usually notices except the person playing. The trick is to get into performance mode and just keep going, which you did beautifully. Well done.

Very nice Silvia, lovely piece of playing, very relaxing listen! It’s very easy to listen to your playing & enjoy without considering the incredible amount of work you’ve put in to have the song memorized the way you do!!! It’s really impressive!!! I not only admire the music you give to this Community, I admire your dedication & ability - not only that, but also your commitment to bring music to the world & inspire others!!!
My Classical has been sitting in its case, in the corner with a broken e string for way too long - I just ordered some new strings & will soon tackle “Blackbird” on the nylon strings! It’s one of my Dreamers… you’ve inspired me to finally give it a go!!!
Thank you!

Hi Lisa, I’m really happy to read the listening had a good effect on you but displeased about your tired start of the day…what is little Vincent role in this?:face_blowing_a_kiss: I hope he’s fine and not giving you much trouble…here all kind of stuff beyond flu and streptoccoccus and another couple of infectious disease hit hard on the children…but after so many years with the children my immune system resists well.
Thank you again, I really appreciate your encouringing words!

Thank you so much Kim! Also for sharing your teacher’s point of view which I agree with.

Doing my own arrangements I think is easier than learning from a tab, at least for me, because it will reflect my level of skills…have a look at my fretting hand for example, there’s nothing fancy or difficult, while in these kind of arrangements you find on the Internet they usually play all over the fretboard, and I’m not ready for that.

@MAT1953 and @mundeli thank you for listening and letting me know you enjoyed it…it means a lot to me!

Thank you Tod for your heartwarming comment…it fills my heart with joy!

Oh the poor little thing…please take care of her asap!!!

Ahhh…I’ll learn that too one day! It’s also one of my Dreamers, but I don’t feel ready yet, especially because it’s fast and I know my brain won’t make it! Have fun with it! Go slow and enjoy every single note you play before your fingers start going on their own.

Indeed, both of us had a cold, but luckily enough it wasn’t too bad for Vincent. Just a little runny nose for him and he’s almost fine again. But now, he’s growing his second pair of teeth. :face_with_spiral_eyes:

Glad to hear you are getting through the infectious season quite good. Fingers crossed it will stay this way! :four_leaf_clover:

Hi Silvia! Great song by the great Beatles! Your live playing was amazing, my applause! It’s not easy at all, playing chords and playing the melody part at the same time.

Hi Mike, thanks a lot for listening and commenting! I played it this very afternoon and it flew smoothly away without mistakes…apart from the final bars like in the video; I think I haven’t worked out the Rhythm properly there and my fingers get puzzled  I just grabbed the guitar in my living room as I had 10 minutes free and got into the playing-mode! I’m so happy this is finally happening :upside_down_face:

Hi Silvia,
That was most moving! A very nice creation and arrangement on your part for sure. I did not make much of your pointed out nits. But in the effort to improve I think this could use a bit more work. It just seems a tad hesitant in the flow of things. In other words, I think it could be smoother.

But that is minor stuff on the above and I really liked this arraignment. Nice job in putting it together!

Be well and all the best,
LB

That was lovely, Silvia, and very very nice that you made the arrangement yourself. :slightly_smiling_face:

If you hadn’t mentioned the hiccups, I wouldn’t have noticed them. Very good. Congratulations.

Hi LBro, thanks for your feedback!

I think this must be a consequence of the arrangement itself, how I arranged the melody as I feel quite a few notes are misplaced from where they should be in the bar…but no…it’s not Phrasing Licence it was like “well, it’s not too bad” and not giving it further work :see_no_evil_monkey:

Also I’ m really improving developing the skill to play smoothly but there’s surely room for improvement…which will take all life long

Thank you for listening and letting me know you enjoyed it Mary and Greg @GDPiper169 Much appreciated!
