It happened to me as well, and apparently you need to mix strings from different gauges as well to keep it in tune throughout the whole song. Didn’t even dare to try … thanks for listening and your support
OK, I won’t look this up as I just took one lesson with alternate tunings yet. Guitar- and theory-land is so huge, that I fear to see too much beyond my own nose at the moment, haha!
But - what I wanted to say: sounds awesome - very well done, boith of you!
Just listened to this again and love it even more. Vocals and playing were both a joy to listen to. After watching the finger stretches and neck migrations you had to do I can fully understand why a live performer would opt to have a 2nd guitar pre-tuned on hand to play this song in a less-demanding way. Have you tried this in a live performance? If so, how did it go? I would be clapping and cheering loudly after hearing a performance like this one.

Thanks a lot for the kind words!! And yes, we did play it live in December, at a small coffee place for people 50+, on average, so we weren’t sure if they would know/like it. But surprisingly it was very well received! So now it will be part of our usual repertoire.
For me it’s still way easier to play it like in the video, instead of having another guitar with this specific tuning for only this song. And I got used to playing it already.
