Your statement comes from not knowing what mind is and how it works, like most people, because that’s not what we are taught. We are taught to be greedy, jealous, ignorant etc.
Empathy is a cold substitute for care and loving kindness. The reason why it became a modern word. Works good with AI, cold and deprived of care and loving kindness.
No it’s wrong. People don’t lack it. It is just covered by obscurations, like greed, jealousy, megalomania, wrong view, and ignorance.
Just do correct mind-training to remove all the dirt and there is the diamond. But it takes training. Time and effort, and hardly anyone wants to use that. Nope, a quick-fix is what people looking for, maybe some AI music will solve their mental problems

Sure, I agree. I don’t think it will be necessary, either, but I do think the tools to use AI in music creation will be ubiquitous. I expect to see VST/AU/LV plugins for DAWs that will allow you to do things like:
- Tell the DAW “create a blues backing track with drums, bass, and keyboards, in a style similar to Led Zeppelin’s song Since I’ve Been Loving You. The track should be about 4 minutes long, in the Key of B minor, and at 100 bpm.” And have the plugin produce MIDI tracks that follow those instructions.
- Similarly, “create a melody in the style of The Carpenters using the current chord progression.”
- Or “Create a harmony track for the melody line in track #1.”
- Or “Change the drums to have a swing feel”
- Or “Make the drums sound more like a human is playing them.”
- Or “Make the drums sound like John Bonham is playing them.”
- Or “Compose a song in the style of Black Sabbath, using drums, bass, guitar, and a melody line for vocals. It should be about 3 minutes 30 seconds long.”
- Or “Compose a song in the style of hit pop songs from the last 5 years.”
And so on. All those are the kinds of things AI could do, right now, if supplied as a DAW plugin and an adequate data set to draw on. Some of those things would be useful tools and shortcuts. Some of them seem like things I would avoid (e.g., using the AI to compose for me – although I could definitely see using an AI tool to create a backing track that was intended purely as a practice tool). Musicians will need to make their own choices. But I expect the pop charts (in all genres) to be filled with music that was composed with AI assistance. It’s going to be way too easy, and way to effective (especially for the more formulaic types of music) for everyone to resist.

Hi,
As I read the last few posts there is a radio program on where a member of the Dutch parliament talks to other guests about how fast things are going, and as I type this AI has become a lot smarter than all of us together… and they also talked about emotions in a computer because 2 weeks ago a chat bot decided to meet with all young girls in various parks and most of them realized that they were talking to a chatbot but were completely shocked…some girls did go to the agreed/proposed place…emotions that seem real is there, good music has already been made etc etc…Years ago I saw a docu of one of the (5) smartest people in the world on television and she said that she was going to free up a large part of her time to immerse herself and protect her child against something she didn’t know or understand but which is almost there now…
Physics is everything and its language is math… when those people get scared…
