I keep volunteering at a daycare center for mentally challenged. I am not allowed to film the crowd, so here’s a little snippet of today’s gig with just me in the frame.
That’s so beautiful Alexey! Both your playing and also volunteering ![]()
So great that you’re using your powers for good ![]()
Very well played, great fingerstyle performance, thanks for sharing.

Fabulous Alexey - very relaxed too!
Thanks. I, personally, can hear a lot of tension in this playing…
Performing in front of a live audience is still not easy for me.
Right, some tension can be observed, but it didn’t prevent you from rendering a beautiful chord-melody of the song. When, in my younger years, I played in front of an audience, I had to struggle with my ‘stage fright’ a lot… Especially when I was the only instrumentalist performing with a lady-singer. And we played songs like Girl From Ipanema or This Masquerade, where I knew even a slight mistake on my part could affect the vocal part…
Anyway, you seem to have overcome the tension effectively. Good work!
Alexey, what you’re doing is wonderful, I know from personal experience how much your music must have been beneficial and made those persons light-hearted for a little while…even if they didn’t show or tell you.
Thank you for sharing it with us, to me it sounded just great.
I’m linking this lesson from Justin, just in case you’re not familiar with it; it’s about re-framing stage anxiety into excitment.
Keep going and bring the joy of Music to those who need it the most.
Very well played, Alexey. I loved it! I saw no tension. I was too busy enjoying the show!

I invested a couple of years into work on performance anxiety. Still, if you don’t do it, like, at least once a week - it becomes hard.
Once again, brilliant Alexey, I just love hearing you play, cheers HEC
That was very well played Alexey!
