Firstly, I appreciate the sentiments that I have an ‘open invitation’ to perform as and when I am ready.
I am a strange bundle of contradictions . . . I guess not unique in that . . . and sometimes I am overly pedantic about criteria, structure and the like and at others a bit of a maverick.
I also make a point to guard against complacency and taking things for granted. Hence acknowledging the criteria perhaps more pedantically than I needed to have done.
And @domi7 I shall work towards being able to perform again. And as I approach 9 years as a guitar learner here in the JGverse, I frequently feel that based solely on duration I ought to be far more proficient than I am. I still struggle to get the playing and singing to a smooth strumming pattern down, something so many seem to master with apparent relative ease. But I can play a few songs, have a lot of fun whenever I do, and am slowly learning just to enjoy myself without stressing as to how ‘good’ I am. It is unlikely that I will ever reach the levels of proficiency displayed in the last OM . . . and that is fine. So keep on keeping on and look forward to you joining in at the next one!

PS. I think I was a bit misunderstood with my last statement. I am just about as self-critical as anybody else, overall happy with my learning path and while aware of mistakes, I am not really anxious about performing and one of the reasons probably being the hosts and also the audience being very friendly and relaxed. One problem is that I am really tired on a normal saturday after a long and hard working day and come home at 6pm earliest.
Maybe I’ll just play something that comes to mind or improvise something, let’s see. Or I’ll come across some wonderful song I always wanted to perform… I’ll think of something
And … I’ll try not to drop the overall quality level too much 
And also… @DavidP… your lines were very nice, I appreciate this, as well as you being always a great host or support (when not being host) to everyone performing! I’m glad I’ll be on the same boat as you this time! It might shake a little if the sea should be rough, but not sink!

@Richard_close2u - Hi Richard - I’d like to keep the pressure on myself and do another OM but only if there aren’t others who want the slot. I’ve done 2 in a row now and would be happy to stand back and let others perform and if that is the case then please include me in the audience. If there is a slot, I have 2 U2 songs I’m currently working on. Thanks. Jon
